Academics
Brown|RISD Dual Degree (BRDD) students choose a major at RISD and a concentration at Brown; they will receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from RISD and a Bachelor of Arts degree or a Bachelor of Science degree from Brown.
Students are expected to complete requirements for both degrees in five years, or ten (fall/spring) semesters.
From the start of their time in Providence, BRDD students are connected to a robust network of faculty, staff, and peer advisors on both campuses.
BRDD students choose a major at RISD and a concentration at Brown; they will receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from RISD and a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree or, with careful planning, a Bachelor of Science (Sc.B.) degree from Brown.
During their final year in the program, all students in the Dual Degree Program complete a Capstone Presentation that draws upon their experience at both institutions. Completion of the Capstone Presentation is a graduation requirement of the Dual Degree Program.
