First and Second Year

In their first year, BRDD students live in one hall of a RISD first-year dorm. In their second year, BRDD students live at Brown; most choose to live in one dorm designated for the BRDD sophomore community. 

After the Second Year

Beyond their second year, BRDD students can choose to live on either campus or off-campus, according to individual preference and availability.

First Year

In their first year, BRDD students are automatically enrolled in RISD’s dining plan for first-years.

Second Year

In their second year, BRDD students can either have a full Brown dining plan or the Brown BRDD Flex Plan (in addition to RISD off-campus dining plans, if desired).

After the Second Year

Beyond their second year, students living on RISD campus are provided with the dining plan associated with their residence. Upperclass students not living on RISD campus may forgo dining plans or choose any Brown dining plan (including the Brown BRDD Flex Plan), or any RISD off-campus dining plan.

Housing and dining plans for BRDD students are billed through Brown.
