Joyce Lin (BRDD 2017) Wins Mineck Fellowship for Furniture Arts

Awarded by the Society of Arts + Crafts, the John D. Mineck Furniture Fellowship grants an unrestricted $25,000 prize to an early-career furniture artist.

Thinking back on the roots of her interdisciplinary practice, Joyce Lin (BRDD 2017, Furniture Design, Geology-Biology) recalled that at the start of her time on College Hill "I thought I’d pursue engineering to deepen my work on kinetic sculptures. But instead I became entranced by geology as a unique, interdisciplinary science that pulls from so many different fields. It brought a different way to explore storytelling in my designs.”
