Sarah Nicita (BRDD 2020) Authors Article on Weaving's Applications in Robotic Textiles

Sarah Nicita (BRDD 2020, Textiles, Cognitive Neuroscience) is the first author of a new paper published in Nature Scientific Reports that explains how traditional handweaving techniques may offer a framework for the production of cutting-edge robotic textiles.

Nicita, who works as a Softgood Engineer at NASA, shares with MIT Media Lab that “as someone with a background in textiles, I’ve always been impressed by the versatility and potential of different fabric manufacturing techniques."
