Our Lake by Angie Kang (BRDD 2021) Tops Best Books of 2025 Lists

Available through Penguin Random House's Kokila imprint, the debut book by Kang (BRDD 2021, Illustration, Literary Arts) is "a tender and vulnerable exploration of love and loss that follows two boys as they take their first trip back to the lake without their father."

Our Lake is included in the "Best Books of 2025" lists from many publications and organizations including Publisher’s Weekly, School Library Journal, NPR, Kirkus, Children’s Book Review, the Center for the Study of Multicultural Children’s Literature, Evanston IL Public Library, and Horn Book Fanfare. The book has also received accolades from the Society of Illustrators and the Chinese Children’s Book Festival.
