Sarah Nicita (BRDD 2020) Contributes to NASA's Artemis II Expedition

As a Softgood Engineer at NASA, Nicita (BRDD 2020, Textiles, Cognitive Neuroscience) helped create the acoustic blankets that line the interior of Artemis II's Orion crew cabin.

The acoustic blankets - visible on the right side of the above image - are making critical contributions to the integrity of the spacecraft and the safety of the crew for this historic mission. "The experiences I had at Brown and RISD continue to inspire and enable my work at NASA," Nicita shares.
