Emilia Mann (BRDD 2022) Earns GRFP Honorable Mention from National Science Foundation

Mann (BRDD 2022, Engineering, Apparel Design) and several other Brown students and recent alumni are recognized by the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships Program (GRFP) as "outstanding graduate students" who have "potential to make significant contributions in STEM."

Currently a Ph.D. student in texlab - part of Rice University’s Mechanical Engineering department - Mann “[researches] textile mechanics to create structurally programmable metamaterials that can be fully disassembled to promote a more sustainable manufacturing paradigm.”
