The Brown|RISD Dual Degree Program draws on the complementary strengths of two world-class institutions and offers students the opportunity to develop and integrate diverse spheres of academic and artistic interests by pursuing degrees at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design over five years.

Academics

Dual Degree Program students choose a major at RISD and a concentration at Brown; they will receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from RISD and a Bachelor of Arts degree or a Bachelor of Science degree from Brown.

Admissions

Students who wish to apply to the five-year program must submit separate applications to RISD and to Brown, as well as submit the supplementary essay for the Dual Degree Program at the time of application.
